David Chariandy

David Chariandy is a writer and professor of literature at Simon Fraser University. He is the author of the novels Soucouyant and Brother, as well as the epistolary memoir I’ve Been Meaning To Tell You: A Letter To My Daughter. David’s books have been translated into a dozen languages and won major awards such as the Roger’s Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize, the City of Toronto Book Prize, and Yale University’s Windham-Campbell Prize for fiction. His novel Brother was recently adapted into a critically celebrated film by Clement Virgo.
