Tim Seibles is the author of two chapbooks and three full-length collections of poetry, most recently Hammerlock (Cleveland State University Poetry Center, 1993). Gifted with a broad-ranging sense of subject matter and style, his poems cover terrain as diverse as basketball, American race relations, dogs, and the inner thoughts of cartoon characters. He has received grants from the NEA and the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center, as well as an Open Voice Award. A dynamic speaker, he has also recorded a CD, Leaning House Poetry, one which he reads his work alongside other poets. Originally from Philadelphia, Seibles now lives in eastern Virginia, where he teaches in the MFA Program at Old Dominion University.
